Elephants Cup - Youth Tournament in Frankfurt

On the 08th and 09th of February the Elephants Club and the OPEL SKYLINERS present great Basketball in Frankfurt. International Understanding and the support of the youth is the center of attention at the "Elephants Cup" - a great tournament for top youth teams from all over Europe.

Taking part are:

The youth team of Winterthur FC Barcelona

The Czech U20 national team

The Finnish U20 national team

The team of Basketball Academy Rhein-Main

Semi-finals will be played at the Basketball City Mainhattan.

The finals will be played directly before the Euroleague home game of the OPEL SKYLINERS on the 9th of February against CSKA Moskau in the Ballsporthalle.

This tournament was founded by the Elephants Club Frankfurt e.V. and the OPEL SKYLINERS:

"The Elephants Club dedicates itself to the international understanding", Karl Hecken explains, president of the Elephants Clubs. "We are particularly supporting themes with which the young people can identify themselves, like the tournament for the Elephants Cup."

Kamil Novak, Center of MTV Kronberg and project manager of the Elephants Cup is confident: "It will be interesting to see, where our talents stand in the international comparison. I expect an exciting tournament, which no Basketball fan or expert should miss. I mean, when do you get the chance to see those junior teams in a direct competition?."

Elephants Cup - Game dates:

Semi-finals in Basketball City Mainhattan: 08.02. at 3.30pm Basketball Academy Rhein-Main vs. Winterthur FC Barcelona (game 1). At 6.00pm U20 Finland vs. U20 Czech Republic (game 2).

The finals in the Ballsporthalle: 09.02. at 3.00pm loser game 1 vs. loser game 2. 09.02. at 5.30pm winner game 1 vs. winner game 2.
