(Foto: Anna Höpfl)" align="RIGHT" valign="TOP"/> The OPEL SKYLINERS Dance Team stands for show acts at its best. The Cheergirls would like to entertain the fans in the Ballsporthalle in the up- coming season, again- supported by new dance talents, who will be casted in big try- out.
The first round of the try-out will be Sunday 20th of July in Basketball City Mainhattan (NordWestStadt). The exciting final round will be Saturday 26th of July at 2200 o´clock in the Disco "Halli Galli" with a big party and many celebreties.
"Rightly cheerleading is an accepted sport in the USA for a long time. Because we have to practice hard for our splendid shows." says Tanja Schumann, Coach and Cordinator of the OPEL SKYLINERS Dance Team.
Together with the Cheerleaders from Alba Berlin the OPEL SKYLINERS Dance Team perform as the official s.Oliver BBL Dance Team. The Cheerleader show their skills at exhibitions, award shows and company parties or sometimes they support well-known artists like Right Said Fred, A.K. SWIFT or Darnell.
Therefore the try-out will be quite challenging: at last years try-out there were 80 girls who competed but only 18 made it into the team. "This year the chances to get in the team are not so bad, because its only 6 girls from the old team who will continue. We try to built a whole new team." means Tanja Schuhmann.
At the first try-out on July 20th, which will be held without public in Basketball City Mainhattan, all applicants will have to study a dance at 1100 o´clock. This dance will be performed in little groups in front of a jury.
30 to 40 participants will qualify for the public final try-out on 26th of July in the discotheque "Halli Galli", Mainzer Landstraße. A jury of celebreties will supervise the dances and announce who made it into the OPEL SKYLINERS Dance Team.

Requirements: you have to be at least 16 years old and you should have some experience with dancing. Send your application (short resume + picture) to schuhmann@skyliners.de or via post to: OPEL SKYLINERS, z. Hd. Frau Tanja Schumann, Silostraße 29, 65929 Frankfurt.
Your application has to come in until July 18th 2003, but there is a chance to register youself directly before the first try-out on July 20th in Basketball City Mainhattan.
