Draw to be held in Barcelona
The Draw will be held on July 16th in Barcelona. It is planned to start with 4 Groups, each Group having 8 Teams.
Bonn and Cologne other German Competitors
Next to the OPEL SKYLINERS, two other German Teams will compete as well. After talks between the ULEB and the s.Oliver BBL it was agreed to allow three German Teams to start in the ULEB-CUP. Telekom Baskets Bonn and RheinEnergie Cologne were given Green Light to start as well.

*"In many discussions and rounds of negotiations the s.Oliver BBL and the ULEB could agree on that. The s.Oliver BBL with it's Teams sees the ULEB as an important partner, because it includes only representatives of the European leagues and their Teams.
The ULEB-CUP had been established after the controversy between the FIBA and the ULEB
At present, personal status and political influencing control a large role here. We demand completely clearly that the sport of Basketball is important in first place. Our all goals must be that at the latest after the coming season a final agreement must takes place,"* said Reintjes further.
